I recently went to the airport. I was going to go to Atlanta for a birthday celebration. However, my flight was canceled and there was a bunch of drama about getting onto another flight and whatnot. However, it was during this period of waiting that I had an opportune chance to people watch. People watching is a hobby of mine. I like to go out to a restaurant in a busy part of town and get a drink or some food and just watch other people’s interactions- whether they are out on the street or in the restaurant itself. It’s very interesting to see all kinds of people from different backgrounds adapt to their surroundings, interact with the environment, and deal with various circumstances. This was particularly fun at the airport this time around. I was with my girlfriend and we just watched people and made up stories about their backgrounds and their relationships with other people. It was particularly amusing to watch people get angry with the gate attendants because there was very little the attendants could do, and people got super mad because of it. Anyways, I like to people watch, and it is a very fun pass time whether you’re alone or with company. We never ended up making it to Atlanta because of the cancellations and then further delays so we stayed in Boston.
I am not a super artistic person, but I recently found a kind of art that I enjoy. I’ve always loved painting and pottery because they allowed me to get my hands dirty. I was never very good at it, but I enjoyed the activity nevertheless. Due to my Atlanta trip being canceled, I had to find another way to spend my weekend. So, naturally, I wandered around Target and then hit up Bed Bath & Beyond. On my way back, I came across Blick and decided to venture inside for no particular reason other than curiosity. I went in and wandered around, as one does in a big store full of supplies in which they have limited knowledge of. I happened across the children’s section and was looking around at all the supplies when a paint by numbers kit caught my eye. I decided to give it a try because why not and it was on sale. I bought the paint by numbers kit and began working on it that afternoon while listening to some relaxing R&B. Not going to lie, this kit was insanely frustrating at the beginning and incredibly difficult as well, but I was determined to finish it. I completed it about an hour before writing this post actually. I am very proud of my work and am looking forward to eventually getting another kit so that I can do it all over again. If anyone is looking for an art recommendation: Reeves paint by numbers kits are the bomb.com.

Gracie
