Anyways, let's talk about getting food after hours. When it's 3 or 4 in the morning, I don't really care what I eat at that point as long as it's edible. The problem is where. Dining halls close early, and even though places like Wollaston's and Amelia's close at 1 A.M. and 2 A.M. respectively, that's still too early sometimes. Some of you might be thinking, "Just order food on Postmates or GrubHub." Trust me, I've tried. If it's 4 A.M., there are only 5 places on Postmates or GrubHub within 15 miles that are open, and 3 of them are McDonald's.
Here's an idea. One dining hall should stay open all night, and if not a dining hall, then Outtakes. I should be able to feel bad about myself and binge eat at all hours of the night. Hot Pockets won't cut it. Poptarts won't cut it. Kraft Mac & Cheese won't cut it. I need real food. Also, the Patriots are about to win and I'm upset.
Hey Abdo,
ReplyDeleteI very much agree with you. I cant count how many times I have gone out on weekends and wanted food after but ended up settling with a granola bar or a half brown banana (half sized too if its from the dining hall).
But another thing I would like to point out is that not just food places close at 1am or 2am, but also all types of "social things" around town. When I moved to Boston four years ago and I was invited to a birthday party I was also appalled that anyone would invite people over before 8pm, which then explains why everything closes and ends so late...
All in all, I think we agree we need more food after 2am...
