the purge is ridiculous

The long weekend was a great time for my friends and I. We ate good food, spent a lot of time together, and had fun. We went for hotpot to Happy Lamb on Saturday night for my friend's birthday, it was really good. We proceeded to go for gelato to Eataly, and everything about it was beautiful, would recommend!

We ended the night with a movie, The Purge: Anarchy. I have so many comments and concerns for that movie cause there are so many things I would do differently in that situation, and hopefully change what happens. For those who are not familiar with the series, the concept is that there is a 12-hour period, annually, where all crime, including murder, is legal (with a few restrictions). The idea is to "clear up" the population; which is just a nicer way of saying "kill the poor and fuck shit up". I understand some economical aspects that make this concept not entirely horrible but why is this a thing? It got me thinking, if all crime was legal for a certain time period, I would rather steal luxury products and treat myself and my loved ones rather than "fulfilling my blood lust" or whatever they're trying to get at here. Okay, that's all for that. You're welcome for wasting your time on my poorly written movie review.

In other news, it is currently 3:20 am and it has been snowing all night and I hope we get a snow day but the people who clean up the snow are too efficient for that to happen, how unfortunate. Having lived in a hot place with 0% probability of snow makes the idea of snow days really interesting since we haven't had one yet. Waiting for emails when I wake up, hopefully :/ Don't question the timing of this blog, I forgot to do it earlier and I cannot seem to sleep so this seemed like a great idea.

GOOD NIGHT & STAY STAFE IN THE SNOW :)

Love,
Kash
