time to write

Hey everyone. I'm running on minimal sleep and maximum adrenaline. This week is probably one of the worst weeks bc I procrastinated to an extreme level since like January. I skipped the majority of chem class and didn't keep up with sociology readings. But I had two midterms today so I squeezed a month of learning into 4 days. I really did it to myself though so I can't even complain. If you can remember from class, I said that my roommate (Megan) is very distracting so I've been at snell for every waking moment since Sunday. Not that bad honestly bc I can actually get work done.

Next year I want to live in Willis but that means my friends and I have to fill out some essay thing for healthy living LLC. Our numbers were honestly garbage so if we don't wanna be living in the street, we have to pretend to be healthy people and apply. I am currently the only one who didn't do it (bc i was busy STUDYING) so Megan is telling me to do it NOW. Megan is more responsible than me so she didn't procrastinate and actually got everything done in a timely manner. Sorry, can't relate. Love you meg. Anyways, I will get this housing thing done and come back.

Ok im back. I still have to do the literacy narrative so let’s make this quick.

I went to the service learning thing on Tuesday and it really wasn’t that bad. It was a little awkward at first because I felt weird asking the students what they were working on. Thankfully, I read one of the books that all of them were writing about so it was easier to help them. They didn’t really work on the essays at all so it was really just talking to them about their ideas and what they’re thinking about. A lot of the students were resistant but asking a couple more questions helped them open up. I asked a lot general questions about the prompt to help them brainstorm. It was pretty often that the student didn’t need help but after saying their ideas out loud, they would think of a question. The class that we worked with is actually coming in at the same time on Tuesdays so we’ll see the students a couple more times while they’re working on the same essay. I think it’ll be interesting to see how these essays progress. It’s annoying to wake up early but nothing we can do about that. Time to write more of this literacy narrative. Tonight is not looking great :)
