BUSY LAST WEEKEND

Last weekend was not so boring as I expected.

About a week ago, my friend from BU and I placed a bet on which Korean street basketball team would win between BU and NEU. If our team won, then my friend decided to buy us 13 bucks, the fee for using BU’s indoor basketball court, for each of our five members. If we lose, then 13 bucks out of our pockets! On Friday, our team practiced really hard for the next day’s game(or bet). On Saturday, before the game, my four good teammates and I filled our stomach with short rip soups that tasted fantastic, already a good start.
We arrived at BU Recreational Center around 2:30 pm and greeted my dear friend who led the way to the indoor basketball court. I saw the opponents warming up by throwing some shots, and I thought, “I guess our team will be the winner.” Not that I’m bragging about my basketball skills, but comparing to the rest of our teammates’ skills, yes. However, it was not so easy while actually playing with them. There were two aces from the opponents’ side who dribbled decently and infallible in their 3 point shots. At the mid time, we took a break and made a whole new plan. We decided to bring our tallest person to the center and always make him score the goal by a layup. And it worked. The guard of our man could not handle his buff defense. For a total score of 3:1, our team won, and we won the bet too. I have never played a basketball game so concentrated and fun for such a long time.
Afterward, my BU friend also led us to BU food court, where we ate some noodles, rice, beef, and so on the delicious food that are non-existent in our curry center. Well, I was not done with the food there. I continued the journey to another friend’s house in Roxbury and ate more beef and kimchi-soup; yeah, I was starving. My friends and I stayed there until 2:30 am, recalling and talking our past sweet memories and troubles back in high school. And I slept at 4:30 am back in another friend’s dorm room. What a day…
On Sunday, I did nothing really special until dinner time since I woke up at that time. Two of my friends and I went to the prudential center around 7:30 pm for dinner at a Japanese restaurant called Wagamama. I personally thought the Wagamama noodles were not so bad, but I guess they didn’t fit for my two picky friends. Then, we visited the 50th floor, where you can see the sight of whole Boston around the prudential center. And there go my 17 bucks for literally walking around and seeing the night view. It took 2 minutes for three boys to walk around and see and feel the view. We faced a dilemma until we decided to take endless pictures for “memories”.
Yeah…that’s pretty much it.
