This review is someone's opinion on J. Cole's KOD album. While reading this I felt firstly as if they could have provided more context as to who J. Cole as an artist is. I felt as if some of the criticism was just plain old roasts as opposed to being constructive. It came across as if he was personally offended in some way by the album as opposed to simply pinpointing where the need for improvement was. I also feel as if he was making too much of a comparison to Kendrick Lamar's work, as if J. Cole's purpose for this album was to make an album that was just like Kendrick's. In a sense those comparisons seemed unfair because they are two completely different rappers with different styles in general.
