This week has been pretty bad for me. I’ve been sick since two weeks before spring break and I went
back home to see the doctor during spring break. I just finished eating the antibiotics and got better on
Sunday. I don’t know how, but I woke up Monday morning and felt sick again. My throat was hurting,
my head was hurting, my nose was runny, and I felt cold. I woke up and I was very confused on why.
I just finished getting better, so I don’t know why I’m sick again. The only thing I could think of was that
I didn’t have my blanket on. One of the weirdest thing happened to me on my way to service learning.
My friend and I had service learning at the same time, but at different places. He had it at TCU, and I
have it at O’Bryant. Anyways, we were running a little late and we had to uber. We decided to use uber
pool because uber x was too expensive. We were calling for an uber for for ourselves, so we wouldn’t be
together. Coincidentally, the same uber driver accepted us, so we would be in the same uber going to
different places which was pretty cool. When we got into the uber, the uber diver’s uber app was freaking
out. His uber app just wasn’t working, It wouldn’t let him accept each of us to show where we need to
go. We probably stayed there not moving for 20 minutes or so. He was also kind of scaring me because
he was screaming in spanish. He finally decided that he would just asked where we were going. My
friend said TCU and he started driving. I don’t think he realized that we were two different passengers
going to different places because he thought both of us were going to TCU. I was really confused and
annoyed because I wasn’t going to get driven to O’Bryant. Eventually, on the way to TCU I spoke up
and told him that I wasn’t going to go to TCU. He was really confused. He then told me that he would
drive me for free to wherever I needed to go. I got in the uber at 8 am and I got to service learning at 9 15.
I was in the uber for an hout and fifteen minutes. I was actually really annoyed and pissed off because
that is not what I signed up for. That was honestly the highlight of my week. At service learning, we
didn’t really teach a class this time. This time, we listened in on a presentation done by a speaker to a
class in the writer’s room. I don’t really know why they did it because it was honestly pretty useless.
They talked about your favorite foods, which was kind of useless. I don’t know how that would help
the students with their writing. But other than that, it was a pretty fun time today.
