Another week, another blog post

Another week, another English paper? 

I finished writing my Op-Ed draft yesterday and I feel quite satisfied with it. I don’t think it’s exceptional but I’m not mad at it. Writing it was interesting. It did include research and reading arguments and others’ opinions online but it was pretty fun to write. My piece is about the drinking age in the US & how I think it should be lower. I think I could add some stuff but I’d like to have it reviewed because I’m not sure what else to do. 

I’m not sure what to do about the sources but I did use random argument, discussion websites to strengthen my points. Nothing too relevant or specific but I can find them and attach them later if we really have to.

So the semester’s getting over? Yay! 

This semester has been interesting. I’m taking 2 business classes: supply chain & innovation. Supply chain has difficult exams & one very time consuming group project (just got done & presentation tomorrow!). Innovation is a bit more chill but has a semester long project (getting done soon and one presentation on Thursday). My other classes are macro theory, first year writing, & intro to planning to business co-op. I took macro for my econ minor (well not anymore because I dropped it) but I still have to finish it and do well >:(. First year writing is honestly my most chill class and the only one I look forward to. Co-op class was mainly online and that’s done. 

Also, service learning is done! I finished on Monday. That has been a very different experience for me. I guess it’s my last time going to a high school for a while, I’m basically graduating again. 

This week is pretty busy, lots of wrap up stuff going on. Final presentations, group meetings, and of course, paper submissions! 

In addition to that: more visa work for me :( 

I’m going to Italy on a dialogue and I need a visa but there’s no appointments available for like the next month so that’s great! Since the majority in this class are American passport holders, I just want to say that I’m envious and please do not take your visa exempts (almost everywhere) for granted. 

Another international student issue: storage! There is so much I cannot take with me so I gotta be resourceful so that’s another thing I have to figure out.
